Mixed Media Artist Cards

Spend an afternoon exploring color mixing, mark-making and different textures as you create a collection of original artist cards. Using magazine clippings, colourful cardstock, acrylic paint, oil pastels, markers, gems and plenty of mark-making; you'll create a series of mixed media cards inspired by imagery, feelings, ideas and whatever catches your attention. Your cards can be abstract, colourful, playful, meaningful - whatever feels right in the moment. Add a word or affirmation if you want, or let the colours and imagery speak for themselves. We’ll begin with a quick grounded meditation followed by playful mark-making and simple techniques to get comfortable with the materials to support you in knowing how to begin. Together, we will then create a set of 6 artist cards. No previous art experience is needed. This is an invitation to play, layer, experiment and see what emerges. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, self-expression, or a creative reset, this workshop offers a supportive space to connect with yourself and enjoy the soothing process of art-making.
