Try this fun decorating technique on a clay plate! Plate will be handmade ahead of time by instructor in order for them to be ready for carving. Every skill level is welcome. What is Sgraffito? : A surface decorating technique that consists of layering the surface of a pot and ‘scratching’ or carving away the superficial layers to reveal a contrasting colour layer below. Participants get to carve their plate with a design of their choice (many images and transfers will be available. Different colours available. Once completed, the plate will be picked up 1-2 weeks later once it has been fired twice in a pottery kiln. Pottery creations are fired to a high temperature and glazed with a clear food-safe glaze.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: When you book a party, we reserve the entire studio for that block of time. Full payment for 6 participants is due in order to secure booking. Cancellations made within 10 days of the party's start date are nonrefundable. If you have an extenuating circumstance, we will handle each cancellation on a case by case basis. We will invoice you the remaining balance for extra participants 24 hrs before the party. Any cancellations done more than 10 days before the party's start date will receive a refund, minus a 15% cancellation fee.
